AVi8 Air Capital Commercial Aircraft Leasing Company appoints Raquel Brinkman as Chief Financial Officer

AVi8 Air Capital, the new commercial aircraft lessor founded by Executive Chairman Ray Sisson and CEO Ed Wegel, announced today the appointment of Raquel Brinkman as the company’s CFO.

AVi8’s strategy is to build its fleet with the newest, most desirable narrowbody commercial aircraft, is in a capital raising period with a top global investment bank, and is currently analyzing potential deals.

Executive Chairman Ray Sisson commented, “AVi8 Air Capital is very excited to announce that Raquel Brinkman is joining our executive leadership team as our Chief Financial Officer. Raquel is a leader and has been active in aviation finance for over a decade. Ed Wegel, CEO of AVi8 remarked on the appointment, “Raquel is a very strong addition to our AVi8 team. Ms. Brinkman was formerly President at Triton Aviation where she led oversight of company finances, approved all aircraft leases and sales, as well as managed investor and ratings agency relationships. She joined Triton in 2001 as VP Finance and Accounting.

Prior to Triton, Ms. Brinkman was Director of Accounting at a major Internet

company. Raquel began her career as an Auditor in the San Francisco offices of Deloitte.

Ms. Brinkman holds an MBA from The Wharton School, a BS in Accounting from California State University and a CPA from the state of California.
