Goshawk deliver first of two B737-800 aircraft to Oman Air

Goshawk today announced the acquisition of one Boeing 737-800 aircraft on long- term lease to Oman Air. The delivery is the first of a two-aircraft transaction from Oman Air’s direct order with Boeing, with the second unit scheduled to deliver in November of this year.

To meet the airline’s financing requirements, the structured solution arranged by Goshawk was executed within a three-week period from mandate to delivery, demonstrating the agility and dynamism of the Goshawk team.

The aircraft brings Goshawk’s total delivered fleet to 72 aircraft, comprised largely of young, fuel- efficient narrow body jets on lease to 37 airlines in 28 countries. There are commitments in place for a further 18 aircraft scheduled to deliver over the next year.

Peter Watson, CCO of Goshawk commented, “Goshawk is delighted to welcome Oman Air as a new customer with the delivery of two Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and we look forward to partnering with Oman on future transactions”.

Mr. Japeen Shah, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Oman Air, stated, “The Goshawk team has been innovative and professional, and we appreciate their reliability in closing the deal”.
