AWAS announced today that it has delivered one new A320 passenger aircraft to long-time customer Aegean Airlines. This aircraft was previously ordered by the airline directly from the manufacturer and is part of a Purchase and Leaseback transaction with AWAS. This is the first of three A320s from this deal agreed earlier this year.

Eftichios Vassilakis, Vice Chairman Aegean Airlines commented on the delivery, “With our acceptance of this new A320, Aegean is pleased to expand our already strong relationship with AWAS. Our commitment to these new A320s will assist us to serve our expanding route destinations, further improve our efficiency and continue to provide our customers with a leading level of comfort and service.”

Marlin Dailey, Chief Commercial Officer AWAS commented, “AWAS is proud to provide this A320 family fleet solution to Aegean Airlines. Core to our business model is identifying airlines with strong future potential, and then developing a long- term relationship with them as they expand and succeed. Our partnership with Aegean is a perfect example of that concept.”

AWAS has had a strong business relationship with Aegean Airlines for over 15 years, originally providing 737 Classics and then migrating them to modern A320 family aircraft.
