Delta Boosts Connectivity from Copenhagen to the Big Apple and Beyond

COPENHAGEN, June 2, 2015 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will be offering customers flying from Copenhagen International Airport smoother connections to a number of U.S. destinations this summer via its hub in the newly extended Terminal 4 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The daily nonstop flight, operated in conjunction with joint venture partner Air France-KLM, will restart June 3, 2015, using a 167-seat Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Customers connecting to destinations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Orlando will benefit from same-terminal transfers thanks to the new $175 million extension of Delta’s Terminal 4 at New York-JFK.

“This summer we will offer almost 2,300 weekly seats between Copenhagen and New York and around 40% of these passengers will have onward connections to other U.S. cities,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Copenhagen is a popular destination for U.S. tourists, particularly cruise passengers, and by improving transfers at JFK we’ve made it easier for more visitors to fly to this wonderful city.”
