SMBC AVIATION CAPITAL Q3 2013 TRADING UPDATE

Dublin – 17 October 2013: SMBC Aviation Capital, the world’s third largest aircraft lessor, today provides an update on its operational activity during the third quarter of 2013, including 38 lease agreements, 21 deliveries, and six sales. This brings a total of 63 lease agreements, 39 deliveries, and nine aircraft sold for the year to date.

Commenting on recent trading, Peter Barrett, CEO of SMBC Aviation Capital, said: “This has been a very successful period of trading for SMBC Aviation Capital, which is reflected in the high volume of activity that the business has seen. The long and varied list of lease agreements and deliveries that we have executed in recent weeks is a testament to the company’s strong geographic reach and customer relationships, and should be taken as a clear sign that the newly integrated businesses are now firing on all cylinders. We expect the current trading level to continue for the foreseeable future and remain confident in the growth prospects of our business.”

Lease agreements
During the period the business signed lease agreements with:
· American Airlines for eight new Boeing 737-800s to be delivered between now and Q4 2014
· Garuda Indonesia for four new Boeing 737-800s to be delivered between Q1 2014 and Q1 2015
· FlyDubai for three new Boeing 737-800s to be delivered between now and 2015
· Sun Country Airlines for two new Boeing 737-800s to be delivered in Q4 2014
· Malaysia Airlines for two new Boeing 737-800s to be delivered in Q2 2014
· Aeroflot for two new Airbus A320-200s to be delivered in Q2 2014
· S7 Airlines for two Airbus 320-200s to be delivered in Q2 and Q3 2014
· Atlantic Airways for one Airbus 319-100, which has already been delivered
· Rotana Jet for one Airbus 319-100, due to be delivered before the end of the year
· GoAir for one new A320-200 which has been delivered
· SunExpress for the extension of three Boeing 737-800s
· Asiana Airlines for the extension of three Airbus 320-200s
· Aegean Airlines for the extension of two Airbus 320-200s
· Rotana Jet for the extension of two Embraer ERJ 145s
· TUI Airlines for the extension of two Boeing 737-800s

Deliveries
During the period the business delivered the following aircraft:
· Four new Airbus A320-200s on lease to China Eastern Airlines – the first four in a six aircraft deal
· Three new Boeing 737-800s on lease to Virgin Australia
· Two new Boeing 737-800s on lease to American Airlines – the first two in an eight aircraft deal
· Two new Airbus A320-200s on lease to Iberia – the first two in a three aircraft deal
· Two new Boeing 737-800s on lease to Xiamen Airlines – from a two aircraft deal
· One new Boeing 737-800 on lease to FlyDubai – the first in a three aircraft deal
· One new Boeing 737-800 on lease to Garuda Indonesia – the second in a two aircraft deal
· One new Airbus A320-200 on lease to Garuda Indonesia
· One new Airbus A320-200 on lease to Go Air
· One new Boeing 737-800 on lease to GOL – the sixth in an eight aircraft deal
· One Airbus 319-100 on lease to Atlantic Airways
· One Boeing 737-800 on lease to S7 Airlines
· One Boeing 737-800 on lease to IZair

Sales
During the period the business sold:
· Two Boeing 737-800s
· One Boeing 737-500
· One Airbus A321-200
· Two Airbus A320-200s
