INTREPID AVIATION ACQUIRES B777-300ER ON LEASE TO THAI AIRWAYS

Intrepid Aviation is pleased to announce the acquisition of one (1) Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on long-term lease to Thai Airways in Bangkok, Thailand. The aircraft (msn 41520) delivered in late 2012 and has since been on lease to Thai Airways. It is Intrepid’s first aircraft acquisition outside its own A330 order backlog and also the first Boeing aircraft in its portfolio. Prior to the acquisition by Intrepid, the aircraft was owned by BOC Aviation (an Asia-based leading aircraft leasing company, owned by Bank of China), the original purchaser and lessor to Thai Airways.

“This is a milestone transaction for us. Since the completion of Intrepid’s capital raising earlier this year, the team has worked hard on the closing of this transaction and others like it. We are delighted to add the aircraft and Thai Airways as a customer to our portfolio, and having developed a successful trading relationship with BOC Aviation,” said Franklin Pray, Intrepid’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “This acquisition will be followed by several others in the near future.”
