TSM ORDERS TWO MD82SF 12 PALLET CONVERSIONS

MIAMI, FL., -April 2nd, 2013 - Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI), is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Aeronaves TSM, S.A. de C.V. of Mexico to provide two MD82SF 12 Pallet Passenger to Freighter Conversions. The first aircraft, an MD82, MSN 49342 was built in 1987 and is scheduled to be inducted for conversion in June 2013 at AEI’s Authorized Conversion Center, Commercial Jet, Inc. which is located in Miami, Florida.

Mr. Enrique Garza Cantu, CEO for TSM stated that “The addition of the MD80SF to our fleet of regional freighters will allow us to service destinations currently unreachable. This will have a significant impact on our product offering and the future of our business.”

Mr. Robert T. Convey, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for AEI stated that “TSM saw the advantages of the MD80SF over a year ago and was the second airline to secure conversion slots.” He goes on to say that, “ AEI’s 737-400SF and MD80SF conversion products continue to dominate the narrowbody sector with the MD80SF on track to provide 50% of the required freighter lift in this category by early 2014.”

AEI’s MD80SF shall provide TSM with an Ancra Main Deck Cargo Loading System capable of carrying multiple ULD’s including:
(12) 88”x108” containers/pallets, P1 to P12 or
(8) 125”x88” ULD’s, P1 to P8
This unique flexibility has been designed by AEI to allow the operator to immediately adapt to multiple ULD configurations at a moment’s notice. When combined with proven reliability, the AEI Converted MD80SF will allow TSM to keep their aircraft where they belong “In the air, generating revenue”.
